Withness, Inc. Mission Statement
At Withness we know that young adults with disabilities are often more lonely and purposeless than ever before. We believe that every person regardless of their perceived level of contribution deserves to be heard, loved and encouraged, so we create opportunities to mentor individuals toward their unique giftedness, giving them ambition and cultivating healthier relationships with their communities.
Withness Director, Katie Odom, pursues her special-needs friends into young adulthood as she brings the love of Jesus into their lives through her presence and relationships.
Katie creates experiences with her friends such as movie nights, trips to Dollywood, tubing down a river in the Smokies, as well as, gathering for meals, conversations or game night. She cheers them on at sporting events, celebrates birthdays and accomplishments, and walks with them through trials and loss.
